Primary Assistant Teachers

Dothan Montessori School is seeking two Primary Assistant Teachers to join our Primary Classroom of 3 to 6 year old students. The Primary Assistant Teachers support the Primary Lead Teacher to provide a carefully prepared Montessori environment that nurtures children’s innate curiosity and love of learning. The ideal candidates have a love for children, awareness of and enthusiasm for the Montessori philosophy and willingness to learn more, and lead from the heart. The people in this role must be confident following through with children to help the Primary Lead Teacher establish and maintain positive work habits and clear behavioral expectations for the children. Together, the Lead and Assistant Teachers observe and respond to children’s developmental needs in the classroom. The Primary Assistant Teachers also help to ensure that the classroom is safe, clean and orderly. Classroom experience or other background in early childhood development or education is preferred.
